Protein Misfolding as a
Common Pathway in the Dementias and Other Neurodegenerative Diseases
The Neurobiology of Disease Workshop is a yearly educational event at the
Society for
Neuroscience annual meeting. The set of on-line
lectures presented here shows the original slides and audio from the
lectures given during the 2004workshop.
Attention neuroscience instructors at all levels! Please feel free to use the information and images
contained on this site
for your own teaching activities. You do not need to contact us for
permission, however, credit to the workshop is requested. If you
are in one of the financially less advantaged regions of the world and would like
a copy of the NBD lectures on CD, please email the webmaster at
.
Earn a Certificate for listening to these presentations
Here's how: After you finish watching the first page of lecture, enter your name in the box at the bottom
of the page and click the "Register" button. Do this after listening to all pages in a lecture. At the end of the
lecture enter your name, the email address to which you want the certificate sent, and your name as you
want it to appear on the certificate. We will check our files to make sure you have listened to and registered all
of the pages of the lecture, and then we will email you your certificate.
The lectures presented on this website consist of the slides
shown and the audio
recorded during the workshop. Slides are presented 6 to a page, and a recording
of what the speaker said for each slide may be
played with the slide. Audio recordings are in RealMedia format and can be
played with RealPlayer.
As an alternative to viewing the lectures
while connected to the internet, you may choose to download one large zip file that contains images of all the
slides. After downloading and upzipping,
you must use your own software to view the slides. Download these files by
"right clicking" on
image.
